Dylan Phillips
Dylan Phillips is a member of the Virginia State Bar and has represented clients in matters involving business and commercial law, appellate litigation, contract disputes, and other forms of civil litigation. His work reflects a combination of legal analysis and practical business insight developed through both legal practice and prior consulting experience.
Dylan earned his undergraduate degree from James Madison University. During that time, he gained early exposure to the legal field by working with both a criminal defense firm and a family law practice. After graduation, he worked in consulting roles with Ernst & Young in its Risk Assurance practice and later with Accenture Federal Services, where his work focused on contract management systems, internal auditing processes, and technology with significant financial impact.
He later obtained his law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law, concentrating on intellectual property while maintaining a strong emphasis on business law. During law school, Dylan served as an editor of the Journal of Law and Technology, led several student organizations, received recognition for his publications in technology and intellectual property law, and was a finalist in the Georgetown Iron Tech Lawyer Competition. He also gained practical experience through internships with a federal bankruptcy court judge, the Arlington Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, and a Fairfax Circuit Court judge.
Following graduation, Dylan practiced at a boutique civil litigation firm in Fairfax, Virginia. He is admitted to practice before the courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia, multiple United States District Courts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. His writing has appeared in academic and professional publications, including the University of Richmond’s Journal of Law and Technology, the FCPA Blog, and collaborative works addressing corporate compliance and arbitration law.
