REBECCA THACHER
Rebecca Thacher leads the Family Law Division at our Manassas office, where she focuses on guiding clients through divorce, custody, child support, and related family matters with skill and compassion. She is known for balancing sharp courtroom advocacy with an unwavering commitment to protecting families across Virginia.
Rebecca’s legal career began after graduating from George Mason School of Law in 2009, where she served as President of the Trial Advocacy Association and earned the Virginia Trial Lawyers’ Association Student Advocacy Award. She went on to serve as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Prince William County, handling cases involving narcotics and violent crimes.
After more than a decade in prosecution, Rebecca shifted her focus to family law, where her courtroom experience and negotiation skills help clients secure stable outcomes during difficult times. She provides direct, personal attention to every client, whether the case involves contested custody, financial disputes, or military divorce.
As a military spouse, Rebecca has a deep understanding of the unique challenges service members and their families face. She devotes part of her practice to serving this community, offering both practical guidance and genuine empathy. For every client, Rebecca’s goal remains the same: to deliver strong advocacy while ensuring they feel supported every step of the way.
